We are excited to announce the launch of 3 equally important projects, together with the Bangkok Community Help Foundation. In late March 2024, the Executive Director of the Corsair Foundation, Mr. Andrea Cerio and the CEO of Corsair Group, Mr. Jussi Veikko Saloranta visited the Khlong Toei Lock 456, also called the "Khlong Toei Slum", where they were given a tour and an introduction to the area, the community and its challenges, by the Founders of the Bangkok Community Help Foundation, Mr. Friso Poldervaart and Mr. Greg Lange. As a result of the visit, 3 important projects were launched: 1. Corsair has donated the money needed to build a home for a family in a desperate need 2. Corsair has donated the money to supply 5,200 meals for the homeless people in Bangkok 3. Corsair and Bangkok Community Help Foundation have together launched the “Trash 4 Cash” program, with a Plastic Waste Collection Center inside the Khlong Toei community. The Plastic Waste Collection Center will pay for the local people for them to collect and to sell their plastic waste, which otherwise mostly ends up polluting the community and causing a variety of health and environmental problems. Now with the Collection Center and with Corsair paying for every kilo of collected plastic waste, the people of Khlong Toei will be able to earn extra income, while cleaning up their own community from all the unwanted and discarded plastic garbage. After buying the plastic waste, Corsair will deliver the plastic to its Plastic Waste Chemical Recycling facility in Bangkok, where the plastic waste is recycled into high quality, Pyrolysis Advanced Bio-oil.
